BA cut Heathrow flights this winter

British Airways is to cut over 130 flights between Aberdeen Airport and Heathrow over the winter months. The cuts came after the airline announced an 88 percent fall in pre-tax profits for the first quarter of the financial year yesterday.
BA currently operates 7 flights a day on the route, which adds up to around 1000 during the winter period. But the airline is slashing 132 flights over the 6 months from October to March, or around 13% of the flights. This will see 66 flights flying from Aberdeen and 66 from Heathrow axed.
