The 175-room, £18million hotel, only the second of its kind in the UK - the first, at Luton Airport, will open next year - is aimed at the business market. It will have free Wi-Fi high-speed internet access, a 24-hour business centre, rooms will have a high specification bed, desk and chair and there will be a meeting room, a gym, and a restaurant / bar.
Detailed planning permission for the airport site is going through the final stages at Aberdeen City Council, and will be discussed at a meeting tomorrow. Located on Dyce Drive, the hotel will bring 80 to 100 jobs to the city. Naava Ltd is building and will own the hotel, which will be managed by Hilton.
