Thomas Cook to operate Tenerife flights

Flights from Aberdeen to Tenerife are to resume by the end of the year, the Evening Express reports. The popular route has not been operate since the collapse of Flyglobespan in December but a number of flights to Canary Island will be operated by Thomas Cook.
Thomas Cook confirmed last month it would run flights from Aberdeen Airport to Turkish destinations. The holiday company has now pledged to run a limited programme between Aberdeen and Tenerife at the end of the year.
Aberdeen Airport managing director Kevin Brown said: ‘We appreciate the value of these destinations to people in the Aberdeen area. We are making every effort to ensure that people can keep flying from their local airport to their favourite holiday destinations.’
