Second ground handling change this year for Loganair
05.12.07
Loganair is changing is baggage handler at Aberdeen Airport for the second time this year next weekend. Having moved to Servisair after BA closed its ground services operation at the airport in the spring, Servisair decided to pull out of the north east airport last month. Since then Loganair has been training staff from Regional Handling Ltd, who take over the contract on Saturday.
Loganair chief executive Peter Tierney said that there should be a smooth handover and the airline's operation at Aberdeen should not affected by the change. He added that they had been warned about the change and had been able to bring in their own staff to train the new company over the past month, which had not been possible when BA pulled out of Aberdeen in April.
