Flyglobespan announce hotline for cancelled flight passengers
07.09.07
Flyglobespan has launched a new telephone hotline for passengers booked on routes from Aberdeen Airport that it cancelled earlier this week. The new telephone number for passengers is 0131 466 7619.
The Scottish budget axed winter services from Aberdeen to Alicante, Cyprus, Faro, Madeira, Palma and Prague - a total of 174 flights - in a row with BAA over airport charges. Winter services will continue to Tenerife and Malaga, but will use planes based at airports elsewhere, and next year's summer schedule is unaffected.
Passengers who have booked flights affected by the cancellations have been offered a full refund, or 50% off a flight (not including airport tax) with the airline to the same destination from a different airport.
However, Flyglobespan has been forced to add the new dedicated telephone line for the passengers after hundreds were unable to get through on its customer services line.
