Man faces trial over suspicious package

A man is to face trial after he denied sending an 'alarming package' to Aberdeen’s airport boss, the Evening Express reports. Andrew Kirk, 49, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court last December charged with breaking the peace.
He is alleged to have sent mail addressed to the CEO or MD of Aberdeen Airport. The package 'made staff at the Aberdeen terminal fearful'. He is also said to have sent text and images of an alarming nature to the airport.
Mr Kirk, of Bishops Park, Inverness, denied the charges at the Aberdeen Sheriff Court. Sheriff Annella Cowan continued the case to trial next month.
