Fog hits flights

Hundreds of travellers were hit as flights to and from Aberdeen Airport were disrupted for a second day running today. The knock-on effect of yesterday's disruption from fog continued to hit the hub, with a nine flights into and out of Aberdeen were cancelled, including flights to Paris, Bristol, Stavanger and Amsterdam.
Almost 50 flights in and out of Aberdeen Airport were axed yesterday, and 30 people spent the night at the terminal. The worst period was between 16:00 and 19:00 yesterday, when 40 flights could not take off or land due to the foggy conditions. Flights started leaving again just before 19:00 and schedules returned to normal by 09:30 this morning.
