Over 1000 evacuated as burning toast sets of fire alarm
16.09.09
Over 1000 passengers and staff were evacuated from Aberdeen Airport yesterday, because of a burned slice of toast. They were sent out into the airport's short stay car park after fire alarms sounded.
Passengers on board a flight from Aberdeen to Manchester were also held up as the aircraft was forced to sit on the runway during the fire alarm. But the emergency was cancelled after airport Fire crews discovered the 'breakfast blunder', the Evening News reports.
