Profits up 5% at Aberdeen Airport

Growing numbers of passengers using Aberdeen Airport has seen a rise in annual operating profits. Figures released by owner BAA yesterday revealed underlying profits at Aberdeen Airport were up by more than 5% at £11 million.
New routes available from Aberdeen airport led to a 9.5% increase in passengers to just under 3 million during the year to the end of March. The increase in business helped to push up revenue by almost 14% to £33 million.
The airport's managing director Andy Flower said: 'This has been a momentous year for the team at Aberdeen. The annual results give us a lot to cheer about.'
