Profits jump at Aberdeen airport

Scotlands three biggest airports - Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen - all enjoyed improved profitability over the last six months, figures from owner BAA reveal
Aberdeen Airport saw operating profit jump by 16.7% to £7 million, on revenues up 18.8% at £19m over the six months to September 30. Passenger numbers were up by 200,000 to 1.7m.
Edinburgh reported operating profit up 11.1% to £20m, on revenues up 5% at £42m. Passenger numbers were largely unchanged at 4.7m. Glasgow saw operating profit jump by 5.3% to £20m, on revenues up 5.3% at £44m over the six months to September 30. Passenger numbers fell by 100,000 to 5.1 million.
