A record number of passengers passed through the terminals at Aberdeen Airport during Offshore Europe week earlier this month. More than 67,000 passengers used the airport, over 2000 more than in 2010. The airport also recorded its busiest ever day of departures on Thursday, September 8, with 6,623 passengers.
The airport’s operations director, Carol Benzie, said: ‘The week went incredibly well, after months of planning. It took a great team effort from people across the airport to ensure we had no operational issues, no delays, great feedback and an increase in retail spend at the airport.’
