Aberdeen Airport closed its runway today after freezing fog caused dangerous flying conditions. In addition, two incoming flights - one each from Heathrow and Amsterdam - were cancelled because of the weather conditions elsewhere.
Over 20 flights were delayed – including three from overnight. Flights due to arrive from Manchester, Norwich, Kirkwall and Sumburgh were among those delayed. An airport spokesman said: ‘We are open again, but while the flights may be leaving, there will still be people who are stuck in traffic trying to get to the airport.’
