Royal Mail driver drink arrest

An inquiry has been launched after a Royal Mail driver was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol at Aberdeen Airport, the Evening Express reports. The man was breathalysed by police on the airfield near the runway before being arrested, but after a second breath test at Queen Street Police Station was negative he was released without charge.
The incident happened at about 07:00 on Tuesday after airport staff, concerned about the driver's fitness for duty, alerted police. He was was on his way to collect mail from an Aberdeen flight when he was stopped and breath-tested by police. Royal Mail confirmed an inquiry was under way and that the driver has not been suspended. He returned to work yesterday.
