25.09.09
A helicopter heading to an oil rig in the North Sea landed safely after a full emergency was declared at Aberdeen Airport. Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Grampian Police were all alerted and rushed to the scene yesterday morning.
The ‘precautionary’ return to base happened after the Bristow helicopter reported a warning light on. There were 19 people on board the EC225 helicopter at the time of the incident.
