Plane stuck on runway for 40 minutes
26.07.11
A plane developed a steering fault at Aberdeen Airport yesterday as the pilot was preparing to take off, the Evening Express reports. The Eastern Airways Jetstream plane was due to fly to Stavanger, but was left sitting for about 40 minutes while the problem was fixed.
An airport spokesman told the newspaper: ‘The nose wheel froze as the plane got to the top of the runway. It was there for about 40 minutes, but had a little bit of a knock-on effect.’
